Wulfman’s Streakers

John “Wulfman” Wulf completed his first Veterans' Day Race in 1956 as a sophomore member of Butte High’s cross country team.

 

After high school, Wulfman left Butte for a time while he served in the United States Army.

 

Years later, Wulfman returned to Butte and the Vets' Day Race (which opened to post-high school runners in 1976), and he finished the race not-less-than-21 times before his passing in June of 2007.

 

Wulfman's last Vets' Day Race came a half century after his first.
